Qin Feng

b. 1961

Qin Feng was born in Xinjiang in 1961. Graduated from Shandong University of Art & Design in 1985, Qing Feng taught in Berlin University of Art from 1996-1999 and in China Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing in 2007. Selected as research associate in Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies, Harvard University in 2008, Qin Feng currently lives and works in Shanghai. His selected solo exhibitions include: Qin Feng Solo Exhibition (Asia Art Center, Taipei, 2016), Desire Scenery – Qin Feng Solo Exhibition (Shanghai Art Museum, Shanghai, 2012), Qin Feng Solo Exhibition (Pace Gallery, New York, 2009). His selected group exhibitions: Rendering the Future – Chinese Contemporary Ink Painting Exhibition (Asia Art Center, Beijing, 2014), On-Site: Cross-Contextual Ink Art Experience (Himalayas Museum, Shanghai, 2014), Insightful Charisma – Himalayas Museum Inaugural Exhibitions (Himalayas Museum, Shanghai, 2013), Ink: The New Ink Art from China (Saatchi Gallery, London, 2012), Brush and Ink: The Chinese Art of Writing (The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, 2006). His artworks were collected in: British Museum (London), The Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), Museum of Fine Arts (Boston), Pacific Asia Museum (Los Angeles), Fogg Art Museum of Harvard University (Boston), Yale University Art Gallery (New Haven).
